THE PROBLEM
Say the word psychology to most students and they picture heavy theories, long words and something meant for other people. That distance kept a subject that could help their everyday lives out of reach for the young Nigerians who needed it most.
THE IDEA
Treat it as a public relations problem, not a teaching problem. Nobody needed more lectures. They needed psychology to feel close, simple and worth talking about.
WHAT I DID
As Public Relations Officer of the NAPS OOU Chapter at Olabisi Onabanjo University, I launched a weekly psychology article series that took big ideas and put them in plain language about real student life, then got each one in front of students every week.
